This week the Parish Council co-opted three new Councillors and offer a warm welcome to all three, they are:
Graeme has lived in East Harling for nine years with his family, he has two young children and has a part time role with Norfolk Constabulary. Graeme cares very much about matters that will affect his family and members of the community, and with a background in the construction and housing industry feels his knowledge would be beneficial regards planning concerns within the village.
Rachel has lived in East Harling since 1996 and lives with her Husband and two young daughters on the Garboldisham Road. Rachel has been a big part of the recent projects to renew the play equipment at both the Recreation Ground and The Poplars. She is Financial Director of her own company based in Harelston and believes that there are some significant challenges facing our village in the coming months and years, including the increasing traffic levels and pressures on our infrastructure, Rachel feels strongly that the interests of all members of the village, young and old should be represented on the council and she hopes to be able to bring the voice of parents of young children to the council.
Matthew has been a resident of East Harling all of his life and his, and his family’s background is in farming. He is married and expecting his first child in June. Matthew has enjoyed all aspects of living in the village and hopes to be able to bring some of his wisdom and knowledge to the Parish Council and give something back to the village serving as a Councillor
