DOG FOULING

FOR THE ATTENTION OF ALL DOG WALKERS
PLEASE BE ADVISED THAT DUE TO A SMALL PERCENTAGE OF DOG WALKERS NOT TAKING RESPONSIBILITY IN CLEARING UP AFTER THEIR DOGS, HARLING PARISH COUNCIL HAVE BEEN LEFT WITH NO OTHER OPTION THEN TO MAKE A DOG CONTROL ORDER IN THE AREAS OF THE RECREATION GROUND AND POPLARS PARK.
A DOG CONTROL ORDER PROHIBITS DOGS FROM ENTERING THESE AREAS AT ANY TIME.
IF A SIGNIFICANT IMPROVEMENT IS NOT SEEN BY 30TH APRIL 2014, THEN THE PARISH COUNCIL WILL REGRETABLY START THE PROCESS OF A COMPLETE BAN OF DOGS IN THESE AREAS.

WE APPRECIATE THAT IT IS ONLY A SMALL NUMBER OF DOG WALKERS IRRESPONSIBLY NOT REMOVING THE MESS THEIR DOGS LEAVE BEHIND, BUT THESE AREAS ARE USED BY CHILDREN WHO ARE ENTITLED TO HAVE THE FREEDOM TO PLAY WITHOUT THE WORRY OF RUNNING THROUGH DOG FAECES.
DOG WARDENS PATROL THESE AREAS ON A REGULAR BASIS AND IF A DOG CONTROL ORDER IS PUT IN PLACE THEN ANYONE SEEN TO BE IN BREACH OF THIS ORDER COULD BE FINED UPTO £1000
